Thomas Cockriel is an associate in the Sourcing and Technology Transactions Practice within the Firm's Intellectual Property Group. Tom provides strategic and commercial advice to leading multinational companies and counsels on all aspects of technology transactions, including sourcing strategy, IT infrastructure, cloud computing, strategic alliances, and cybersecurity. He advises companies across sectors and geographies to ensure delivery of the best possible products and services while adapting to ever-changing technologies, markets and business objectives. He has experience in a variety of industries, including technology, financial services, and pharmaceuticals.
Tom has extensive experience drafting and negotiating large and complex IT and professional services agreements, including those involving technology, intellectual property licensing, outsourcing and procurement, sales and e-commerce, development, supply, distribution and reseller arrangements, and strategic alliances.
Tom advises clients on the advantages and disadvantages of different models and how best to implement these service arrangements while addressing various legal and commercial concerns. He is also skilled in counseling clients on overcoming challenges associated with technology arrangements and avoiding potential risks.
Prior to joining White & Case, Tom was a judicial intern for Magistrate Judge Monte C. Richardson in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
