Overview

Zoran Draškovič joined White & Case in February 2009, prior to which he worked for Linklaters, an international law firm, in Bratislava for four years. He has broad experience in energy and infrastructure, banking and real estate sectors, including advising clients on mergers and acquisitions and competition matters.

Mr. Draškovič has advised clients on various energy and infrastructure projects, including a joint gas storage development project and major public-private partnership projects in the field of transport infrastructure. In the energy sector, he has acted for a number of clients in the gas and electricity industries (among others an electricity generator, electricity suppliers and traders, distribution system operators and a gas storage operator) on a wide array of transactional, corporate, regulatory, litigation and competition matters.

In the area of mergers and acquisitions, Mr. Draškovič has provided legal advice to clients in connection with several acquisitions in various sectors, including real estate, nuclear energy and automotive.

Mr. Draškovič has been regularly advising clients in the banking and finance sector, in particular on derivative transactions and various regulatory issues (including the implementation of European legislation). He has also defended clients and advised them on settlement negotiations in several litigation matters.

Mr. Draškovič has co-authored chapters on Slovakia in the publications Leniency Regimes, Jurisdictional Comparisons, European Lawyer, 2nd edition (2007) and A Practical Guide to PPP in Europe, City & Financial Publishing, 2nd edition (2008). He has also written several articles published in Slovak and international publications.
