Practice Experience
Philippe Sarrailhé's main areas of practice are international arbitration, mergers and acquisitions, LBOs, and securities.  He has considerable experience in commercial and financial matters generally.

Philippe is regularly involved as counsel on behalf of substantial French and other European parties in international arbitrations governed by French law or other laws based on the French legal system.  He is also a fluent Spanish speaker, having lived in Latin America, and has been involved in several ICSID and ICC arbitrations with Latin American parties, particularly from Venezuela and Argentina.

On the non-contentious side, Philippe has represented top French and foreign clients in major cross-border private and public M&A transactions involving banking institutions and automotive, space, aeronautical, chemical, pharmaceutical, food and other industrial companies.

He has advised on leveraged buyout transactions, acting for leading U.S., U.K. and Dutch private equity houses, as well as venture capital transactions.  He also has advised on the issuance of various types of equity and debt instruments as well as the offering, listing and placement thereof.

Philippe has experience in IPOs as well as structured finance, having advised several banks in relation to statutory and offshore securitization schemes.

Philippe has lectured on European commercial law and international business transactions at the University of Paris Law School.

Prior to joining White & Case, Philippe was a partner with a leading French law firm and was the managing partner in the New York office of that firm from 1991 to 1994.
