Robert Vančata joined White & Case in 2004 to become a member of the Firm's tax advisory team.

Prior to joining White & Case, Mr. Vančata worked for a year as a legal assistant at the Prague branch of another respected international law firm.

Mr. Vančata has gained experience in the areas of corporate taxation, tax litigation, the tax structuring of group companies and international taxation.

During his practice, Mr. Vančata has been involved in projects for Komerční banka, a.s., ČSOB, a.s., Česká spořitelna, a.s., ČEZ, a. s. and others. Most recently, he assisted in providing consulting services regarding the VAT treatment of trading in financial derivatives for a large Czech bank, and also participated in tax consultancy in the area of international real estate investments. Recently, Mr. Vančata has been involved in providing consulting services for a significant pharmaceutical company in connection with a dispute against the Czech Ministry of Finance in the area of price regulation.
