Robert Vančata joined White & Case in 2004 as a member of our tax advisory team.

Prior to joining White & Case, he had worked for a year at the Prague branch of the law firm of Hogan & Hartson.

Robert Vančata is entered in the list of tax advisors kept by the Czech Chamber of Tax Advisors.

On a long-term basis, Mr. Vančata has been involved in the tax restructuring of leading Czech companies engaged in various industries, and provided advisory services to various international and domestic companies, private equity funds, and individuals in the area of M&A, in the financing and structuring of holding activities, including structures in the area of intellectual property holding.

The transaction experience of Mr. Vančata includes, among others, the planning of optimal international structures and transactions, as well as the coordination of their subsequent implementation, including the implementation of pilot projects for cross-border mergers under new legislation.

Mr. Vančata has also been involved in the creation of a joint venture of PPF and Generali, which became the most significant transaction of its kind in Central Europe.

During his practice, Mr. Vančata has been involved in projects for ČEZ, a.s., Zentiva a.s., Komerční banka, a.s., ČSOB, a.s., Česká spořitelna, a.s., Moravské naftové doly and other leading companies.

Mr. Vančata is also experienced in the performance of due diligence for potential Czech and foreign investors in various industries.

Last, but not least, Mr. Vančata focuses on tax issues related to investment incentives and takes part in the provision of advisory services in the area of direct foreign investment.
