Practice Experience
Simon Ngu is an associate in the Firm's Banking & Capital Markets Group in London. Simon's experience includes advising both borrowers and lenders in relation to acquisition and corporate financings as well as advising on restructurings.

Representative transactions include: 
  • Acting for Deutsche Bank, Citibank and other financial institutions as bookrunners/mandated lead arrangers in relation to a US$750 million forward start facility to refinance Investcorp S.A.'s existing facilities;
  • Acting for Citibank as mandated lead arranger in relation to an amendment and restatement of an existing US$70 million facility with Investcorp S.A.; 
  • Acting for Bank of America as mandated lead arranger in relation to a US$141 million facility agreement for Investcorp S.A.; 
  • Advising ABN AMRO as security agent in relation to a US$200 million facility agreement with a leading media company in Turkey; 
  • Acting for a leading global investment bank advising in relation to the placement of senior secured bonds into the Virgin Media capital structure; 
  • Acting for Goldman Sachs, UniCredit, ING and RZB as mandated lead arrangers in connection with a US$315 million senior financing of a leveraged buy-out by Lion Capital of a Russian vodka manufacturer and distributor; and
  • Acting for Lloyds TSB Bank in connection with the amendment and restatement of a US$70 million revolving facility to Volex Group Ltd involving cross-border security issues in China and India.

Prior to joining White & Case, Simon worked at a leading law firm in Australia.
