Practice Experience
Simon Ngu is an associate in the Firm’s Banking & Capital Markets group in London. Simon’s experience prior to joining White & Case includes advising both borrowers and lenders in relation to acquisition and property financings.
Prior to joining White & Case, Simon worked at a leading law firm in Australia.
Representative transactions (prior to joining White & Case) include:
Acting for National Australia Bank as equity bridge financiers to a prominent listed property group for the acquisition and development of commercial office buildings in Brisbane, Australia;
Acting for Babcock & Brown in its capacity as borrower under an innovative warehouse facility to finance loans made to self-managed superannuation funds for the purposes of acquiring real estate through an interposed property developer;
Acting for Lehman Brothers Inc. as financiers in Territory Resources Limited’s A$860 million takeover bid for Consolidated Minerals Limited;
Acting for a leading property developer in the A$100 million refinance of its existing acquisition and construction debt relating to the Chevron Hotel in Melbourne, Australia;
Acting for a prominent property developer in the financing of a A$72 million construction facility for the development at Cammeray Square in Sydney, Australia;
Acting for a global resources company in relation to pro-forma farm-in and joint venture terms tailored to its investment and participation strategy in Western Australian mining ventures; and
Acting for National Australia Bank (through its subsidiary Bank of New Zealand Australia) in the financing of a A$500 million acquisition of Australian Woolworths properties by a listed property fund.
