Practice Experience
Ms. O'Neal is a member of White & Case's International Trade Group, concentrating on import law, export controls law, intellectual property law, international trade remedies, and regulatory matters.

Ms. O'Neal's practice includes representing clients' interests before US Federal Courts and agencies charged with the implementation of trade laws, including US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the US International Trade Commission (ITC), and the US Department of Commerce (DOC). Her focus in import law and regulatory matters involves advisement and enforcement proceedings related to the importation of merchandise, including on customs, intellectual property, product safety, consumer protection, testing and certification, labeling, marketing, fair trade practices, and health and medical requirements. Ms. O'Neal works with private companies to establish and implement comprehensive import compliance programs and, recently, assisted in drafting import legislation for a foreign sovereign. In addition, Ms. O'Neal advises clients on export controls and economic sanctions.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. O'Neal worked as an associate at a customs and international trade firm in New York. Ms. O'Neal also clerked with the Office of the US Trade Representative, the US Department of Justice, Office of International Affairs, and the American Bar Association's Central and East European Law Initiative.

From 1999 to 2003, Ms. O'Neal was a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. She served as a Division Officer onboard the USS Port Royal (CG 73), deploying to the Western Pacific and Persian Gulf. Ms. O'Neal then joined the Destroyer Squadron Nine staff, deploying with the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
