Practice Experience
Mr. LaMacchia's practice focuses on corporate and financial transactions.
Mr. LaMacchia's corporate practice includes cross-border mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. His clients in this area are primarily multinational companies doing business in Japan and elsewhere in Asia (whether through subsidiaries or joint ventures). Mr. LaMacchia was identified as one of the best Corporate and M&A lawyers in the Asia-Pacific region by Best Lawyers, January 2009.
He also has extensive experience with the structuring, formation and placement of investment funds, such as private equity funds, hedge funds and infrastructure funds. In recent years, he also has worked increasingly with fund sponsors in the restructuring of their investment funds.
In addition to private practice, Mr. LaMacchia teaches Corporate Finance law at Keio University Law School in Tokyo.
During his career he has worked in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
