Dr. Witold Jurcewicz is a partner at White & Case. Dr. Jurcewicz heads the White & Case mergers and acquisitions and privatization practice group. He specializes in commercial law and in the law on public trading in securities.
In privatization projects, Dr. Jurcewicz represented the State Treasury and companies taking over control of privatized companies, including many foreign investors who are industry leaders. Dr. Jurcewicz also advised on many merger and acquisition transactions of private companies. Dr. Jurcewicz has amassed a wealth of practical experience in M&A transactions, spanning all phases of this type of transaction in many industry sectors, e.g. banking, insurance, automotive, chemical, cosmetic and metal.
Dr. Witold Jurcewicz has extensive capital market experience. Dr. Jurcewicz has advised public companies and investors on the public market. Dr. Jurcewicz has defended listed companies against hostile take-overs, represented strategic investors in disputes with minority shareholders. Dr. Jurcewicz has worked for Polish companies in connection with issuances of GDRs and debt instruments on international capital markets.
Dr. Witold Jurcewicz was a co-editor of the code of good conduct under the auspices of the Securities Commission and the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Dr. Jurcewicz graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Wrocław University and holds a Ph.D. in law from the Institute of State and Law of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
