Germany, being the most populous country with the largest economy in Europe, is also at the heart of the evolving landscape of business and trade in Eastern Europe. White & Case’s six offices in Germany provide the full range of legal services to clients seeking success within the country — throughout Europe and the world.
Established in 1998, the Düsseldorf office became part of the White & Case global network in 2000. Located in the Rhine-Ruhr area, with its high concentration of major industrial, commercial and service enterprises, the office mainly concentrates on corporate law and transactional business, handling all aspects of corporate life, including M&A, banking and international finance with a particular focus on projects, acquisition finance and energy business.
Many of the Düsseldorf team of more than 30 lawyers worked as in-house counsel in major corporations, allowing them to add in-depth knowledge of various industry sectors to their high-quality legal expertise. They also keep developing new approaches and structures to maximise the clients’ corporate efforts.
The lawyers worked on their major IPO and takeover projects, important asset-based financing structures, accounting issues, complicated insolvency and debtor restructuring. They also assisted in privatization projects for German clients in close cooperation with lawyers in other White & Case offices.
The Düsseldorf team works closely with our other offices in Germany — Berlin, Dresden, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich. Our lawyers in Germany are part of an integrated team of legal professionals that spans 25 countries. Together we bring global breadth and local depth to bear on our clients’ most exciting opportunities and difficult challenges.
