In an interview with the Financial Times, White & Case partner Michael Watson discussed the Firm’s latest report about energy transition, and how capital allocation across the energy sector is shifting. Energy transition capital is being deployed faster than ever and funded from ever-increasing sources. 

42 percent of energy executives say investing in the transition is a high priority—up from 14 percent in 2020, and private equity is expected to be the main source of energy transition financing.
 
"A lot of these capital providers are seeing opportunities in changing their business model to get in earlier," said Watson.
