Christine N. Chang is an antitrust associate in the Competition Group. Ms. Chang advises clients on antitrust aspects of complex, multi-jurisdictional deals for multi-national clients. In particular, clients rely on her for guidance in defense of strategic transactions before the DOJ and FTC. Ms. Chang also has experience representing clients in civil litigation matters, including merger litigation.

Ms. Chang has advised clients in a wide range of industries including online gaming, pharmaceuticals, energy, mining, technology, medical devices, healthcare, food/grocery and online food delivery.

Ms. Chang devotes time to working on pro bono matters, which include incorporation and tax exemption advice.

Harbin Pharmaceutical Group Holding Co./GNC Holdings, Inc.: Represented Harbin Pharmaceutical Group Holding Co., in its Section 363 bankruptcy acquisition of GNC Holdings, Inc., vitamins and supplements retailer, for $770 million.

dMY Technology Group/Rush Street Interactive LP: Represented dMY Technology Group, a special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC), in its $1.8b acquisition of online gaming company Rush Street Interactive LP (pending close).

Sony Corporation of America/Bilbili, Inc.: Represented Sony in its $400 million minority investment in Chinese online entertainment platform Bilibili.

Metso Minerals/Outotec: Represented Metso, a multi-national company, headquartered in Finland, in obtaining Early Termination in 2019 for its $4.6 billion acquisition of Outotec, both global companies specialized in technology and equipment for the minerals, metals and aggregates industries.

Anthem, Inc./America's 1st Choice: Represented Anthem in its 2018 acquisition of America's 1st Choice, a privately-held, for-profit Medicare Advantage organization that offers HMO products, including Chronic Special Needs Plans (C-SNP) and Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plans.

Anthem, Inc./Aspire Health: Represented Anthem in its 2018 acquisition of the nation's biggest non-hospice, community-based palliative care provider.

Anthem, Inc./HealthSun: Represented Anthem in its 2017 acquisition of HealthSun, an integrated Medicare Advantage health plan and healthcare delivery network.

Anthem, Inc./Cigna Corporation: Represented Anthem in its proposed $54.2 billion acquisition of Cigna in 2016, which was the largest-ever proposed M&A deal in managed care.

Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc./LDR Holding Corporation: Represented Zimmer in obtaining Early Termination in 2016 for its $1 billion acquisition of LDR, including LDR's proprietary patented technology for treatment of spine disorders.

Zimmer Holdings, Inc./Biomet, Inc.: Represented Zimmer, a leading manufacturer of orthopaedic implants, in its 2015 acquisition of rival Biomet for $13.35 billion. The acquisition created a global leader in the orthopaedic industry and required close coordination with the EU, US, and Japanese regulators. This transaction received a "Commended" ranking by the Financial Times in its FT North America Innovative Lawyers 2015 report, and represented one of the largest transactions in the medical devices sector, impacting hundreds of markets worldwide.

Federal Mogul Holdings Corporation/Affinia Group, Inc.: Represented Federal Mogul in its $150 million acquisition of Affinia Group's chassis division in 2014.

Mexichem SAB de CV/PolyOne: Represented Mexichem, a Mexican chemical company, in its $250 million acquisition of the specialty PVC resin business of PolyOne in 2013.

Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. de C.V./Sara Lee Corp.: Represented Grupo Bimbo, the largest global bakery business based in Mexico, in its $949 million acquisition of Sara Lee Corp.'s North American bakery business, a transaction that was named a 2011 "M&A Deal of the Year" by The Deal Magazine. The acquisition was consummated with limited regional brand divestitures and created one of the largest baked-goods companies in North America despite Grupo Bimbo already being the largest baker and seller of sliced bread in the United States.
