Overview

Daniel Gillenkirch is an associate in the Firm's Capital Markets group in Frankfurt.

He represents corporates, investment banks and investors in a wide range of banking and capital markets matters. Daniel Gillenkirch advises on equity and debt capital markets transactions including hybrid capital and equity-linked bond issuances.

Furthermore, he provides financial institutions and financial technology (fintech) companies with advice on all regulatory requirements.

Prior to joining White & Case, Daniel Gillenkirch worked as a trainee lawyer for two major international law firms and with a leading bank in Frankfurt.

Advised joint bookrunners BofA Securities Europe SA, DZ BANK AG Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank, Frankfurt am Main, ING Bank N.V. and Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A. on Metro AG’s €500 million bonds issuance.

Adidas
Advised a consortium of banks on a bond issue by adidas AG with a total volume of EUR 1 billion, issued in two bonds with a nominal amount of EUR 500 each.

Adler Group
Advised Adler Group S.A. on the issue of a EUR 1.5 billion bond, consisting of two tranches, a EUR 700 million tranche and a EUR 800 million tranche, and ADLER Real Estate AG, a company of the ADLER Group, on a repurchase offer in relation to a EUR 500 million bond.

Berlin Hyp
Advised the joint lead managers on Berlin Hyp AG's issuance of green Pfandbriefe for an aggregate principle amount of EUR 500 million.

Advised the joint lead managers and the co-lead manager on the issue of the debut sustainability-linked bond issue by Berlin Hyp AG in the aggregate principal amount of EUR 500 million.

Advised Austrian fintech Bitpanda on the expansion of its product portfolio to include Bitpanda Bitcoin ETC, on the structuring and implementation process, on the approval and notification by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority as well as on regulatory, commercial, corporate and tax aspects.

Advised the joint lead managers on Covestro AG's issue of bonds with an aggregate principal amount of EUR 500 million.

Deutsche Lufthansa
Advised Deutsche Lufthansa AG on the issuance of notes with a principal amount of EUR 1 billion. The bonds consist of two tranches of EUR 500 million each.

DIC Asset
Advised the joint bookrunners on the issuance of a EUR 400 million green bond by DIC Asset AG.

Advised German real estate company D.V.I. Deutsche Vermögens- und Immobilienverwaltungs GmbH on all capital markets and corporate law aspects of the issuance of its EUR 350 million debut bond.
