Biography

Overview

Jamie is an associate in the Firm's International Arbitration Practice based in London. His experience includes representing companies in cross-border arbitrations, including under the ICC and LCIA rules.

Jamie joined White & Case as a trainee, gaining experience in the Firm's Dispute Resolution, Construction, and Financial Restructuring and Insolvency groups in London. Jamie also spent six months working in the Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance group in the Firm's Johannesburg office.

  • Representing a contractor in a US$500 million ICC arbitration relating to the design and construction of a hydro-electric power plant in Asia.
  • Representing an African state in a US$100 million ICC arbitration regarding payments due under a guarantee provided to secure the drilling of an oil well.
  • Representing a contractor in a US$700 million ICC arbitration relating to a dispute between joint venture parties over a metro project in the Middle East.
  • Representing an investment company in the mining sector in relation to a LCIA arbitration arising from copper commodity contracts.
  • Representing an international oil and gas company in an ICC arbitration arising out an SPA for the sale of a subsidiary in South America.
  • Acting for an international oil and gas company in one of the largest arbitration proceedings in the world, resulting from the consolidation of multiple ICC proceedings concerning the construction of an LNG processing facility.
  • Representing an aviation investment manager in a LCIA arbitration arising out of an aircraft lease agreement.
