Overview

Johanna Hayward is counsel in the Project Development and Finance Group in London. She has extensive experience advising lenders (including commercial banks, development banks and export credit agencies), sponsors and the public sector in domestic and international projects, focusing chiefly on reserves based lending, project finance, export finance and other structured finance transactions.

Experience

Advising Africa50 on a partnership with Bayobab to develop Project East2West, a terrestrial fibre optic cable network connecting the eastern shores of Africa to those on the continent's west.

Advising the mandated lead arrangers in respect of the up to US$1.5 billion reserve based lending financing for Petrobras Oil & Gas B.V. of oil and gas assets in offshore Nigeria.

Advised the arranging banks (including IFC and EBRD) on the US$250 million reserve based lending facility for the PICO group in respect of offshore oil fields in Egypt.

Advised KEXIM, KSURE, ADB, CDB and a number of additional ECAs and commercial banks lenders in connection with the sovereign-guaranteed financing of the Oltin Yo'l GTL plant in Uzbekistan.

Advised KEXIM, KSURE, ADB, CDB and a number of additional lenders in connection with the project financing of the Surgil petrochemical plant in Uzbekistan.

Advised Nord Stream AG in connection with the capital markets refinancing of its offshore gas pipeline.

Advised Saudi Aramco on the project financing of the $12.5 billion world-scale integrated chemicals complex. Project Finance International named this the "Middle East Petrochemical Deal of the Year"
