Biography

Overview

Michel Djandji is a litigation associate in the Firm's New York office. His practice covers complex commercial disputes, bankruptcy litigation, and investment and commercial arbitration.

Michel is active in a variety of pro bono projects with a focus on immigration and civil rights. He supports LGBT asylum-seekers and unaccompanied minors in obtaining immigration relief. He is also part of a team representing New York school children from several districts in a lawsuit against the State to ensure their right to a sound basic education under the state's Constitution.

Prior to joining White & Case, Michel clerked for Justice Edwin Cameron at the Constitutional Court of South Africa, where he was also a Fulbright scholar researching the role of human dignity in South Africa's equality jurisprudence.
