National Bar Association names Serena A. Rwejuna among the 40 Under 40 Best Advocates

The National Bar Association (NBA) has awarded White & Case LLP partner Serena A. Rwejuna a 2023 40 Under 40 Nation's Best Advocates Award. The annual award "recognizes the nation's top lawyers under 40 who exemplify a broad range of high achievement, including in innovation, vision, leadership and legal and community involvement." 

Ms. Rwejuna will be honored at the 40 Under 40 Awards Gala on August 2, 2023, which is part of the NBA's 98th Annual Convention in Minneapolis, MN. 

Serena A. Rwejuna, a partner in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Group (EIPAF), helps lead the Energy Markets & Regulatory practice and serves as Co-Deputy Head for the North American Region of the White & Case Global Power Industry Group. Within EIPAF, her practice focuses on advising clients on commercial, regulatory, compliance, litigation and enforcement issues. She counsels developers, sponsors, utilities, independent power producers, pipelines, natural gas distribution companies and other energy industry participants on compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission regulations, cross-border and multijurisdictional transactional and regulatory matters, and advises them on project development, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, mergers and acquisitions, dispute resolution and state regulatory compliance. She also advises clients on a broad range of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG), sustainability and cutting-edge energy transition matters that span the broad universe of pipes and wires, energy security and net-zero targets.

The NBA is the nation's oldest and largest international network of predominantly African American attorneys and judges.
