Avast Software
We advised Avast Software, one of the world's major players in the security software market, on its agreement to acquire New York Stock Exchange-listed AVG Technologies N.V., a developer of business, mobile and PC device security software applications, for a total consideration of US$1.3 billion.

We represented Panasonic in its US$1.545 billion acquisition of Hussmann Corporation, a manufacturer of refrigerated display cases and systems. This was the largest strategic acquisition Panasonic has done in the past decade.
We represented in connection with a License and Strategic Alliance Agreement with Dun & Bradstreet and various amendments and relationship management to bring products to market. That agreement allowed for the creation of a new "Data-as-a-Service" offering called

We represented in connection with a license and alliance arrangement with Thomson Reuters to access Thomson Reuters's vast collection of information for businesses and professionals on the Sales Cloud1 app, and improved data services through various offerings.

LINE Plus Corporation
We represented LINE in its acquisition of MixRadio, a free personal music streaming service, from Microsoft Corporation. We also represented LINE in structuring and negotiating a global strategic alliance with Telefonica and Mozilla.
We represented Wix, an Israeli provider of cloud-based website development and design platform, in its initial public offering and listing on the NASDAQ Global Market.

Viber Media
We represented Viber Media in its US$900 million acquisition by Rakuten. This transaction represents the largest-ever acquisition of Israeli technology by a Japanese company. It was nominated as an M&A "Deal of the Year" for 2014 by The M&A Advisor.

US$1.53 billion strategic investment of 51 percent stake by Softbank in GungHo Online Entertainment.

We successfully defended Toshiba Corporation in two high-profile jury trials concerning alleged price-fixing in the liquid-crystal display (LCD) industry.

We represented Softbank Corp. as deal counsel, in connection with a 50-50 joint venture with PayPal Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based PayPal and eBay group company, for the marketing/distribution in Japan of PayPal-branded products and services through a newly-formed kabushiki kaisha named "Nihon PayPal KK."
