The Lawyer magazine has named White & Case partner Lucy Bullock (London) in its 2022 "Hot 100" list of top lawyers working in the United Kingdom.
"Every year, our Hot 100 covers an incredibly diverse mix of legal professionals;" The Lawyer reported, "scrappers from the rough and tumble of criminal law; sophisticated corporate dealmakers; intellectuals and silver-tongued advocates from barristers' profession; the in-house counsel with the ear of their CEOs; associates rising to greatness…. But whatever world they come from, they are all doing amazing work…. The work they are doing is important NOW."
The Lawyer names Bullock a "rising star," in its profile, and describes her as "the partner of choice for the firm's client base of sponsor-held portfolio companies. She is also a key contact for Avast, a FTSE 100 technology business she has nurtured from start-up for nearly a decade. With White & Case advising on its IPO along the way, Avast called on Bullock last year for its most transformational deal yet, as it secured a merger with Nasdaq-listed NortonLifeLock. There have been other transactions for Bullock to get her teeth into, including a de-SPAC deal for Alvogen-owned pharma business Alvotech and Triton Investment's £1.2bn offer for Clinigen."
Bullock is a partner in White & Case's Global M&A and Corporate practice in London, specializing in Private Equity, with a focus on advising sponsor-held portfolio companies from buy-out to exit. She advises portfolio companies on their capital structures, consortia coinvestment terms, equity recapitalizations, management equity incentive schemes, international reorganizations, post-completion matters following a sponsor buyout, exit preparations and exits. Bullock regularly advises companies on their day-to-day general matters including governance and compliance matters and is often the "outsourced" general counsel for a number of companies.
