White & Case partners Kevin Spencer and T. Markus Funk, and associate Sean Lyons published an article for Tax Notes encouraging the IRS to expand its use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques.
The authors argue that expanding the use of ADR techniques will "make tax administration more efficient and effective," and will enable the IRS "to generate more tax revenue and promote better tax compliance."
