
Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice and Global Investment Funds Practice with the addition of Stephen Culhane as a partner in New York.

Culhane focuses on the formation, structuring and operation of fund products, advising on all stages of fundraising, governance and compliance. He has significant experience advising sponsors of private equity, real estate and private credit funds pursuing strategies including secondary investments, venture capital, international real estate, specialty finance and special situations programs. He has extensive complex secondary transaction experience.

Culhane joins White & Case from another leading law firm, where he was a Co-Head of its Investment Management Practice. Prior to this, he was an Associate General Counsel at Goldman Sachs and the Legal Director to the Goldman Sachs Asset Management's Private Equity Group.
White & Case has made significant investments in its Global Investment Funds Practice over recent years, with the additions of Dylan Glazier as a partner in New York; Emma Russell, Alexandra Chauvin and Emily Brown as partners in London; Eriko Sakata as a partner in Tokyo; and Omar Hemady as a partner in Boston.
