Global law firm White & Case LLP is advising the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors appointed in the chapter 11 cases of Pine Gate Renewables, which are pending in the Houston-based United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
The Committee will serve as a fiduciary for all unsecured creditors in the complex chapter 11 restructuring of Pine Gate Renewables, which has operated a portfolio with more than 100 solar projects across 32 states, with power capacity of nearly 30 gigawatts.
The company's chapter 11 filing will facilitate the restructuring of its more than US$7 billion capital structure, including secured and unsecured claims, as well as a complex tax equity structure.
White & Case is working with Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP as co-counsel, Province as financial adviser and Jefferies as investment banker.
The White & Case team is being led by Financial Restructuring and Insolvency partners Gregory Pesce, Laura Baccash (both in Chicago) and Phil Abelson (New York), and Project Development and Finance partner Nadav Klugman (Chicago), and includes Financial Restructuring and Insolvency associate Brett Bakemeyer (New York).
