Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Philogen S.p.A. (Philogen) on its initial public offering on the Mercato Telematico Azionario (MTA), which is organized and managed by Borsa Italiana S.p.A., successfully placing 11 percent of its total share capital for a total value of approximately €76 million and a market capitalization of approximately €690 million.
The offering is the first IPO on the Italian main market in 2021. Goldman Sachs International and Mediobanca - Banca di Credito Finanziario S.p.A. acted as joint global coordinators and joint bookrunners. Stifel Europe Bank AG - Milan Branch acted as co-bookrunner. Mediobanca also acted as sponsor on the admission of the shares to trading on the MTA.
Philogen is an Italian-Swiss company active in the biotechnology sector, specializing in the research and development of pharmaceutical products for the treatment of lethal pathologies.
