Global law firm White & Case LLP advised Woodfibre LNG on its engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction (EPFC) contract with McDermott International for a new LNG plant to be built in Squamish, British Columbia.

Once operational, the facility will produce and export the cleanest, most technologically advanced LNG in the world. Woodfibre LNG is also the only industrial project in Canada, and possibly in the world, to have received environmental approval from an Indigenous people in the absence of a treaty. Woodfibre LNG Limited is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver, and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation (Canada) Limited.

The White & Case team that advised on the transaction was led by partner Ryan Hopkins and included associates Michael Yates, Jesse Hollingsworth, Chantal Carriere and Lane Ransom all in Houston.
