Ingo is a Partner in our global Antitrust practice based in Düsseldorf.

Ingo advises clients on German and European antitrust law, in particular in connection with merger control investigations, criminal investigations, follow-on damages cases and litigation, dominance and unilateral conduct investigations (Art. 102 TFEU and sec.19a German Competition Act), self assessments and compliance programs. He has led numerous important cases before the Federal Cartel Office, the European Commission and before other international NCAs (UK, USA, France, Portugal, Spain and others) as well as before the European General Court/European Court of Justice and the German antitrust courts.

Ingo is a member of various associations, including the Association for the Study of Antitrust Law (Chairman since 2019, Board Member since 2006), the International Bar Association and the Society of European Law (Board Member since 2000). He is co-publisher of the periodical Neue Zeitschrift für Kartellrecht (NZKart, Founding Editor), co-publisher of IBA's CLI (Competition Law International, 2008 to 2024)  and co-editor of the journal Europarecht (EuR, 1998 to 2025). He regularly publishes on antitrust issues and European law, while also co-authoring the commentary on EU antitrust law (Beck'sche Gelbe Reihe, 4th edition 2023).

He has served as Non-Governmental Advisor (NGA) to the German Bundeskartellamt since 2016 and has actively contributed to ICN's Annual Conferences in all parts of the world since 2016.

Ingo is recognized as a Thought Leader Antitrust Global Elite 2025 by Global Competition Review Who's Who Legal / Lexology, as a Legal All Star - Competition by Wirtschaftswoche 2025, in the "Hall of Fame" of Antitrust lawyers in Germany by Legal 500, and as Lawyer of the Year Competition Global 2022 by Who's Who Legal 2022.
