Aatos Solhagen advises industrial clients and private equity firms on domestic and cross border mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Solhagen also advises clients in real estate transactions relating to business and residential premises as well as in various infrastructure projects. In addition, Mr. Solhagen advises clients in a broad range of other general commercial and corporate law matters, including M&A insurance underwriting.
Mr. Solhagen joined the Firm in 2013 after his graduation.
Advising several M&A warranty & indemnity insurance providers and underwriters, including amongst others Tokio Marine HCC and Riskpoint, in the underwriting of transaction insurance policies for multiple business transactions in the Nordic markets.
Representing Swedish real estate investment and asset management group Nordika on the acquisition of three office properties located in Helsinki, Finland, from European Property Investors Special Opportunities 4 (Episo 4) and Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company.
Advising the European Investment Bank, Nordic Investment Bank and a group of commercial lenders, including ING Belgium SA/NV, Nordea Bank Finland Plc, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB, The Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd., UniCredit Bank AG London Branch and UniCredit Bank Austria AG, on the project infrastructure arrangements relating to the financing of the construction of a new industrial combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Kilpilahti, Finland.
Representing Metso Corporation, a leading minerals processing and flow control technology and services supplier for the mining, oil and gas and aggregates industries, on the EUR 340 million sale of its process automation systems business to Valmet Corporation.
Representing Airbus Group, a European multinational aerospace and defense company, on the sale of its 26.8 percent minority stake in Patria Oyj, a Finnish defense company, to the company.
Representing Huhtamäki Oyj, a leading manufacturer of consumer and specialty packaging, on the €141 million divestment of its Films business to DBAG Fund VI, a fund advised by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG.
Representing Kemira Oyj, a global chemicals company headquartered in Finland serving customers in water-intensive industries, on the EUR 140 million divestment of its ChemSolutions' formic acid business to Taminco Corporation.
