Biography

Overview

Ahmad is an associate of MHR & Partners in association with White & Case. He is also a member of the firm's Capital Markets group based in Cairo. Before joining White & Case, Ahmad worked as a public prosecutor and as an associate for a top-tier law firm in Cairo in Corporate and M&A departments.

Ahmad investigated and prosecuted white-collar crimes, financial crimes and misdemeanours during his tenure with the Egyptian Public Prosecution. He also has experience advising Egyptian and international clients on corporate transactions, public offerings and general corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.

Advised Arabian Cement Company on its EGP 766 million initial public offering on the Egyptian Exchange.*

Represented Middle East Glass in its acquisition of a majority stake of Misr Glass Manufacturing, at a value of EGP 750 million.*

Represented Valeant Pharmaceuticals on its acquisition of a majority stake in Amoun Pharmaceutical Company, at a value of EGP 6.5 billion.*

Represented Abraaj on its acquisition of Cleopatra Hospital Company, at a value of EGP 650 million.*

Represented KBBO Group on its acquisition of a majority stake in Flying Elephant Lab LLC, at a value of EGP 21 million.*

Represented SPIMACO on its acquisition of a majority stake in Meivo International for Pharmaceutical Industries company.*

Represented AfricInvest in the acquisition of a minority stake in Masria Cards S.A.E (Masria Digital Payments); transaction value undisclosed.

Represented a private equity on its acquisition of a majority stake in a major manufacturer of an environmental technologies products manufacturer in Egypt, at a value of EGP 1.5 billion.

Representing AXA Africa Health on several corporate and commercial matters, including the establishment, licensing and operation of its polyclinics program in Egypt.
