Biography
Alysha Patel is an associate in the Disputes team in White & Case’s London office. She has a broad practice in complex cross-border commercial litigation and international arbitration. She has acted in cases before the English High Court and has experience working on high-value arbitrations under institutions including ICC and UNCITRAL.
Her work to date has spanned a broad range of sectors including energy, financial services and technology.
Prior to joining White & Case, Alysha trained at another leading global law firm where she completed seats in international arbitration, energy disputes and professional negligence and spent six months on secondment as an in-house lawyer at a global insurance broker. Alysha subsequently worked as an associate at a leading London/New York commercial disputes firm.
Experience
Acting for large group of institutional investors in s.90 FSMA prospectus liability claim against Glencore plc, for amounts in excess of £2 billion.*
Representing former owners of Chilean salmon producing company in successful jurisdiction application in English civil claim brought by the new owners in relation to the company’s US$900 million sale.*
Acting for telecoms company in ICC arbitration proceedings concerning claims for breach of contract and fraud in relation to a collapsed telecoms joint venture.*
Acting for liquidators on the investigation into the winding-up and sale of global fashion retailer.*
Acting for group of unsecured lenders in discovery proceedings in connection with restructuring of French residential care company.*
