Biography

Overview

Andrei is an associate in White & Case's international arbitration practice. He has experience representing sovereign States and investors in disputes relating to energy, mining, real estate, and telecommunications before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) pursuant to bilateral investment treaties and the Energy Charter Treaty.

Andrei is also active in pro bono matters, successfully representing clients in state and federal courts in criminal appeals and civil rights actions.

Prior to joining White & Case, Andrei clerked for the Honorable Thomas E. Johnston of the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. During law school, he served on the executive board of the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law and the Columbia International Arbitration Association and as research assistant to Professor George A. Bermann, Chief Reporter of the Restatement of the U.S. Law of International Commercial Arbitration.
