Biography

Overview

For more than 11 years, Andres has represented domestic and transnational clients. He focuses his practice on litigation and has engaged in several complex controversies, the nature of which required a high degree of technical expertise (e.g., energy law, tax law, economic competition, telecommunications and broadcasting and consumer law, among other areas). Once a potential dispute arises, Andres’s main objective is to analyze critically the clients’ interests on a case-by-case basis, along with possible effective remedies to pursue (which include the submission of constitutional trials (juicio de amparo), administrative appeals and annulment suits).

His experience includes the risk-mitigation aspect of matters, through a constant assessment of his clients’ primary activities to verify whether they align with the applicable legal and regulatory framework.

Before joining White & Case LLP, Andres worked at a prestigious Mexican law firm and at an international firm, where he represented all types of disputes before both administrative and jurisdictional authorities. His experience also includes pursuing alternative and conciliatory remedies.

Throughout his professional career, Andrés has also handled several pro bono cases.
