“I usually agree with Shakespeare about lawyers; but I really like Tony and would keep him around.”

Tom O'Connor, Chairman and CEO, Mohawk Fine Papers Inc.

Tony, who started with the Firm as a summer associate in 1979, has a general corporate practice with considerable merger and acquisition, bank finance and municipal securities experience.

Tony represents both buyers and sellers in numerous public and private stock and asset transactions. Clients who have benefited from his ability to steer transactions through complex legal matters include Mohawk Fine Papers, the Irish Dairy Board and Aviation Capital Group. He also represents various not-for-profit entities and foundations, including the United States Olympic Committee, the Seal Future Fund and The Guggenheim Museum.

He advises numerous domestic and foreign banks in a wide array of credit transactions, and has considerable experience and know-how regarding soft capital facilities for monoline insurers and direct-pay letters of credit.

In the municipal finance area, Tony's clients include underwriters, placement agents, remarketing agents, issuers, purchasers, credit enhancers, bond insurers, trustees, financial advisers and tender agents.
