Biography

Bogyung Hwang is an associate in the International Arbitration Practice in Paris. Her practice covers both investment treaty and commercial arbitrations, as well as construction arbitration.

Prior to joining White & Case, Bogyung acquired experience in international arbitration and project finance in institutions and in international law firms.

Experience

Bogyung's recent experience includes:

Representing a real estate company in a DIAC arbitration arising out of the construction of a shopping centre in the Middle East.

Acting for Nigeria in an ICSID arbitration brought by an East Asian investor concerning a major oil and gas project.

Representing a West African State in an ICC arbitration arising out of the construction of a largescale hydroelectric power project.

Advising the sponsors on the design, construction, development, operation and financing of a 120 MW thermal power plant in West Africa*; and

Advising a group of European DFIs on the financing of four solar plants in Burkina Faso with a combined power output of 110MW.*
