Biography

Overview

Candice Wu is a Counsel in the Firm's Dispute Resolution practice.

She has experience in general commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation involving partnership disputes, shareholders dispute and general contractual disputes.

Candice has advised financial service institutions, listed companies and other market participants on contentious and non-contentious regulatory and compliance matters. She has also advised major employers in employment and employee benefits matters in a wide range of industry sectors including banking and finance, international property and construction, insurance and professional services.

Prior to joining White & Case, Candice worked in the dispute resolution departments of leading international law firms. She previously served as an in-house employment counsel on secondment in a leading investment bank.

Acting for a major contractor in disputes arising from a multi-billion dollar rail project.

Representing a leading accounting firm network in the expulsion of its then Hong Kong member firm and the ensuing arbitration in London and litigation in Hong Kong.

Representing a Taiwanese biopharmaceutical company in a HKIAC arbitration against a European pharmaceutical company in a US$100 million dispute governed by Hong Kong law.

Representing a US satellite company in a HKIAC arbitration against PRC, BVI and Cayman entities in a US$100 million commercial dispute governed by English law.

Advising an international investment bank on an internal investigation into its investments.

Acting for global technology and professional services companies on contracts, HR policies and benefits plans in various Asian jurisdictions.
