Biography

Overview

Chris advises global corporate clients, fast growth companies, sovereign wealth funds and investors in connection with cross-border mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, convertible financings and carveouts in a variety of industries such as life sciences, robotics, consumer discretionary and blockchain technologies.

Prior to joining the Firm, Chris gathered valuable experience in the Firm's M&A practice as well as at corporate practices at other leading global and Singaporean law firms. He studied law at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom and holds a master's degree in law and finance from the Institute for Law and Finance at the Goethe Universität Frankfurt.

Advised ABB on its acquisition of the PowerTech Converter business, a leading supplier of auxiliary power converter solutions for light rail vehicles.

Advised Bardeen Inc, a leading San Francisco-headquartered company that provides a no-code automation tool that streamlines workflow and automates repetitive tasks, on its US$18.8 million Series A equity financing round.

Advised Gambling.com Group Ltd., a leading performance marketing company for the global online gambling industry, in its US$27.5 million acquisition of Roto Sports Inc., operator of RotoWire.com and provider of fantasy sports content in America.

Advised Starship Technologies, a leading provider of autonomous delivery services, on a new Series B funding round led by the Japanese-Nordic VC firm NordicNinja and Taavet+Sten from Estonia.

Advised WestCap Management, LLC on its investment as lead investor in the US$400 million Series B equity financing round of Celsius Network Limited, a UK-based cryptocurrency lending blockchain company based in London, United Kingdom, focused on providing a blockchain-based, fee-free platform that provides access to curated, decentralized financial services that are not available through traditional financial institutions.

Advised Daimler AG on the acquisition of British electric motor specialist YASA Ltd. YASA is a manufacturer of axial flux electric motors with headquarters and production facilities in Oxford, England, and an innovation division in Welshpool, Wales.
