Biography
Donia Chu is an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice, based in Singapore.
Donia advises on a broad range of corporate transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and joint ventures. She also has extensive experience in investment and fundraising transactions, representing venture capital and private equity funds, as well as emerging growth companies in Greater China and Southeast Asia, across multiple financing stages and industries.
She has worked in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

- A rental apartment brand in Mainland China in relation to a US$500 million joint venture with a real estate focused principal investing firm and a middle eastern sovereign wealth fund.*
- A global financial institution on its entrance into a Southeast Asian country through a joint venture with local financial institutions.*
- Honour Lane Shipping on its auction sale process and sale of a majority stake to Asian private equity fund Nexus Point.*
- A global business and financial services company on its strategic investment into a Chinese Fintech and data technology company.*
- A Southeast Asia-focused private equity firm in its investments in a leading global cloud-based workforce provider.*
- A digital infrastructure platform on its equity financing with British multinational bank and Spanish multinational financial services company.*
- A mining company in relation to the bid and sale process of its copper and cobalt mining operations in Africa.*
- An infrastructure investment-focused private equity firm in relation to the bid process of the proposed acquisition of a road infrastructure concession owner and operator in South East Asia.*
