Biography

Overview

Emma France is a senior associate in the Project Development & Finance practice of White & Case Paris.

Emma advises on contractual arrangements and regulatory issues relating to the development, construction, financing, acquisition, transfer of projects in France, Europe and Africa.

She works in particular in the energy (both conventional and renewable), mining, transportation, water and telecom sector.

Before joining White & Case, Emma worked for international law firms in Paris and London.

She also wrote several articles and publications on energy or mining laws.

Experience

Her recent experience includes advising:

Société Eiffage de la Concession de l'Autoroute de l'Avenir (SECAA) and its shareholder Eiffage on the renegotiation and extension of the duration of the Dakar-Diamniadio-Blaise Diagne International Airport PPP Toll Road Concession Agreements with the State of Senegal, and the entry of the State of Senegal into SECAA's capital;

Helios Investment Partners and Tema LNG Terminal Company Limited, a Ghanaian entity established and controlled by Helios Investment Partners, in respect of the financing and project development of a liquefied natural gas terminal in Tema, Ghana;

Advising oil companies such as BP, Chevron, Tullow, ENI and Woodside on various matters arising from their ongoing petroleum operations or proposed transactions in Francophone Africa*

Advising Engie on the various acquisition in France (including Sameole and Langa)*

Advising BHP in relation to the divestment from the Nimba Project in Republic of Guinea*

Avising Proparco, IFC and BEI on the financing of two solar projects in Senegal*

Advising Cellnex on its acquisition of the telecommunications tower operator "Hivory"*

Advising B2Gold in relation to its mining operations in Mali and Burkina Faso*

Advising DIF Infrastructure on the sale of a portfolio of PPP and energy projects*

Advising Marguertie investment fund on acquisition of interest in an energy from waste project in Belgrade*
