Biography

Emma Kurose is a litigation counsel in the Los Angeles office and a member of the Firm's Global Technology Industry Group. She advises multinational technology, social media, and e-commerce clients on complex international litigation, consumer class actions, and regulatory matters around the world. Her practice focuses on cutting-edge matters concerning privacy and data protection, intermediary liability, content regulation, intellectual property, and consumer protection. She has also advised clients on international affirmative litigation concerning online platform integrity.

Emma serves as a member of a team that manages international civil litigation for Meta Platforms and other global technology companies. She manages matters across the globe, with a particular focus on complex civil litigations in EMEA and APAC, and has worked on numerous cases before the Israeli Supreme Court. She also provides product counseling and compliance advice to global clients, including with respect to US and international regulations governing data protection, e-commerce, and consumer protection. Her experience includes secondments at Meta as product counsel for Reality Labs and for Instagram.

Prior to joining White & Case, Emma worked in the New York office of a global law firm where she represented financial services clients in complex commercial disputes in state and federal court, securities litigation, and criminal and regulatory investigations.
