Biography
Fabiana Pardi Otamendi is an Associate in the International Arbitration Group in Paris. Fabiana's experience includes representing corporations and public entities in international arbitrations across a variety of industries, including energy, infrastructure and construction. She was also seconded to the disputes department of a major French energy group.
Fabiana is also active in pro bono activities representing victims of human rights violations before the Inter-American Commission and Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
Prior to joining White & Case, Fabiana acquired experience in international arbitration at a Magic Circle law firm in Paris. She also worked as a Fellow at the International Service for Human Rights in New York, and as a Consultant at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in Washington D.C.
Fabiana is a member of the executive committee of the French Chapter of the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club (CEIA) since 2023. She is also a member of Young ICCA and a Group Advisor of the Young ICCA Mentoring Programme since 2024.

Fabiana's recent experience includes:
Representing subsidiaries of a State-owned energy company in two ICC arbitrations concerning price review disputes under long-term supply agreements.
Representing the claimants in a multiparty ICC arbitration governed by Saudi law against three respondents arising out of the Riyadh Metro Project with claims exceeding USD 150 million.
Representing the investor in an UNCITRAL investment treaty arbitration relating to the regulation of fuel import and prices.
Advising a European buyer of gas in a contractual dispute under a long-term gas supply contract.
Representing the Roads Department of Georgia in an ICC arbitration against a contractor under the FIDIC Pink Book form of construction contract.
Representing European construction companies in ICC arbitrations regarding the construction of a hydroelectric project in Chile.
Representing Asian and European clients in ICC arbitration proceedings related to a US$40 billion LNG project in Asia-Pacific.
Representing joint venture company Grupo Unidos por el Canal, S.A. in an ICC dispute with the Panama Canal Authority.
Representing Chile before the International Court of Justice in the case brought by Bolivia involving its claim that Chile had undertaken an obligation to negotiate sovereign access to the Pacific Ocean for Bolivia. *
