Biography
Gideon Levy is an associate in the Firm’s Global Litigation Practice. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts.
Prior to joining White & Case, Gideon was a litigation associate at a global law firm where he handled cases involving commercial disputes and internal investigations within a variety of industries, including aerospace, construction, energy, finance, healthcare, hospitality, insurance, manufacturing, mining, pharmaceuticals, real estate, and telecommunications. He also has significant experience defending clients facing inquiries from DOJ, SEC, EPA, FERC and state attorneys general.
Gideon maintains an active Pro Bono practice, with a focus on landlord-tenant matters.
While in law school, Gideon served as a legal intern within the Appellate Division of the Office of the City Attorney for the City of Miami. He was also a member of the University of Miami Law Review, the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board, and the Miami Law Mock Trial Team.
Experience
Represented an international satellite communications company in various proceedings involving complex technical, contractual, and insurance-based claims and defenses, with liabilities ranging from $50 million to $1 billion.*
Secured a favorable settlement on behalf of a pet care product manufacturer involved in a bet-the-business state-court dispute with a former customer and contractor.*
Represented a large oil trade company in a complex rate and tariff dispute pending before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.*
Represented several gasoline suppliers and retailers involved in protracted state court litigations arising from alleged groundwater contaminations.*
Secured a favorable settlement on behalf of a mining company following an investigation by the Environmental Protection Agency.*
Successfully defended a former executive of a pharmaceutical manufacturer from concurrent investigations from the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and state attorneys general.*
Secured a favorable settlement and removal of multiple property liens for an international hotel brand following protracted federal and state court disputes arising from complex contract, insurance, and construction-based claims and counterclaims.*
