Biography
Gregor Hughes is an associate in the Construction & Engineering Group based in Abu Dhabi. He has experience of providing strategic legal support to clients in the Middle East and UK on high-end infrastructure, energy and construction projects, procurement contracts and operational agreements. He gained valuable industry and sector experience while on a 21-month secondment to the Legal, Commercial & Operations team of a major O&G operator in Abu Dhabi, advising HQ and various subsidiaries on strategic & transformational initiatives, as well as operations & supply chain with a focus on drilling & oilfield services, OEM services and operations & maintenance.
Experience
Ongoing representation of EWEC in connection with the Nouf 1 IPP, Taweelah C IPP, Madinat Zayed IPP, BESS 1 Project, Saadiyat Island RO IWP and Nouf A RO IWP.
Representation of ADNOC on the Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts, and annexures for the onshore and offshore joint ventures relating to the Hail & Ghasha Project - the world's largest offshore ultra-sour gas project, awarded at $17 billion.*
Representation of ADNOC on the update and review of its full suite of standard procurement templates.*
Representation of a client on the creation of a stranded gas utilization and service contract, to utilize stranded gas to power data centres mining cryptocurrency in Oman.*
Representation of a client on the construction of a Crew Training Center in Riyadh.
Representation of Saudi Aramco on an ongoing basis in the review of various construction and procurement contracts.

Representation of a major Middle Eastern oil & gas operator, advising on a suite of documents to centralize warehouse operations, including a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) arrangement for new warehouses.*
