Biography
Gregor Hughes is an associate in the Construction & Engineering Group based in Abu Dhabi. He has experience of providing strategic legal support to clients in the Middle East and UK on high-end infrastructure, energy and construction projects, procurement contracts and operational agreements. He gained valuable industry and sector experience while on secondment to a major oil & gas operator in Abu Dhabi.

Advising on the update and review of a major operator in Abu Dhabi’s full suite of standard procurement templates.*
Representation of ADNOC during a 21-month secondment to the Legal, Commercial & Operations team, providing advice to various subsidiaries on strategic & transformational initiatives, as well as operations & supply chain with a focus on drilling & oilfield services, OEM services and operations & maintenance.*
Supporting the negotiations and drafting of the PCSA, EPC and Annexures for the Onshore and Offshore JVs for the Hail & Ghasha Project – the largest offshore ultra-sour gas project in the world, awarded for US$11 billion.*
Advising on the creation of a stranded gas utilisation and service contract, to utilise stranded gas to power data centres mining cryptocurrency in Oman.
The Legal lead for the design and set up of the centralised shared service model within ADNOC. Undertaking negotiations with subsidiaries, and putting the contractual relationship in place setting out the cost-allocation mechanism.*
