Hendy Handoko is an associate in our banking, capital markets & restructuring practice group based in Singapore. He represents underwriters and issuers in international equity and debt capital market transactions primarily in Southeast Asia, including initial public offerings and secondary sales of shares of both private and public companies and high-yield, investment grade and sovereign debt offerings in the United States pursuant to Rule 144A and offerings outside the United States under Regulation S.

He is fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Advised the Republic of Indonesia (RoI) on its first dual-tranche Eurobond offering, selling an aggregate of €3 billion senior unsecured fixed rate notes, comprising a €1.5 billion 7-year tranche and a €1.5 billion 12-year tranche, and issued under its US$40 billion Global Medium Term Note Program. At the date of closing this was the largest ever Eurobond offering out of Asia and the largest Eurobond offering by a non-European sovereign. Barclays Bank PLC, Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, J.P. Morgan Securities plc and Société Générale acted as lead managers and PT Bahana Securities, PT Danareksa Sekuritas, PT Mandiri Sekuritas and PT Trimegah Securities, Tbk. acted as co-managers.

Advised Greentown China, a leading Hong Kong-listed luxury Chinese residential property developer, as issuer on a US$200 million Regulation S tap issuance of its existing 8.0% Senior Notes due 2019; and consent solicitation in respect of its RMB-denominated Senior Notes due 2016 and US$-denominated Senior Notes due 2018 and 2019 and concurrent offer to exchange the US$-denominated Senior Notes for US$500 million 5.875% Senior Notes due 2020. The deal won a 2015 "Triple A Regional Deal Award for Best Liability Management" from The Asset and 2016 "Debt and Equity-Linked Deal of the Year" from China Law & Practice.

Advised Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, CIMB, PT Ciptadana Securities, BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank as underwriters on a Rule 144A/Regulation S secondary offering of 912,794,000 shares of PT Link Net Tbk, an Indonesian internet broadband and cable TV company listed on the IDX, with an offering size valued at approximately US$453 million. CVC Funds and PT First Media Tbk were among the selling shareholders.

Advised The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, CIMB Investment Bank Berhad, Emirates NBD Capital Limited and Standard Chartered Bank as the dealers and arrangers on The Republic of Indonesia's US$1.5 billion global Sukuk bond offering, through an amendment of and drawdown from The Republic's existing US$5 billion Sukuk program. This deal was named "Debt and Equity–linked Deal of the Year" at the IFLR Asia Awards 2015, and "Debt Market Deal of the Year" at the ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2015. He subsequently advised The Republic of Indonesia in the update and upsize of its US$10 billion Sukuk programme and the Regulation S/Rule 144A issuance of US$2 billion Certificates under the programme.

Advised Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited (BTSC) on the THB 62,510.4 million (US$2.1 billion) IPO of the BTS Rail Mass Transit Growth Infrastructure Fund (BTSGIF). This deal was named "Equity Deal of the Year" at the IFLR Asia Awards 2014, "Equity Market Deal of the Year" at the ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2014, "Best IPO" at the FinanceAsia Achievement Awards 2013, and won a "Deal of the Year 2013" award from ASIAN-MENA COUNSEL.
