Overview

Hussam previously held the position of Legal Advisor at the Bureau of Experts at the Council of Ministers in Saudi Arabia. Hussam's practice focuses on public law, regulatory matters, public policy matters as well as legislative drafting. In addition, he regularly advises of corporate and commercial matters.

He has recently advised on strategic national regulatory initiatives and various international treaties and international agreement, including the Saudi Arabian Model of Bilateral Investment Treaties (BIT), approved by the Saudi Arabian cabinet in 2021.

Advised clients on complex legal matters related to Saudi and international law.

Drafted legal memoranda on regulatory, corporate, and compliance issues under Saudi and international legal frameworks.

Advised government entities on international conventions and treaties, including the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of Specialized Agencies and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. *
