Overview

Jacqui Pavlidis is a member of the Australian Taxation practice and based in Melbourne. She is experienced with advising clients operating across a diverse range of industries on income tax, stamp duty and land tax issues relating to M&A transactions, business acquisitions, corporate reconstructions, due diligence and Revenue investigations.

Jacqui is currently undertaking the Masters of Taxation at Melbourne University.

Experience

Advising a Canadian based fund manager on the stamp duty implications across all Australian states in respect of a $80 billion global restructure.

Assisted a gas and electricity business in a major tax controversy, including analysis in relation to capital allowances, the tax treatment of certain asset disposals having regard to the outcomes of tax consolidation and assisting in dealing with the ATO's information requests and the preparation of amended assessments.

Assisted a global infrastructure company in respect of the stamp duty implications on the takeover of an ASX-listed owner of Australian energy and utility assets.

Assisted with successful applications for discretionary exemptions for Victorian stamp duty and land tax surcharges for foreign owned property.
