Overview

Jakub Khier provides comprehensive legal assistance to international clients, including leading developers, real estate funds, and financial institutions. His expertise covers complex M&A transactions focusing on real estate purchase and sale, cross-border real estate portfolio acquisitions, due diligence reviews, and commercialization processes. Jakub also offers in-depth guidance on construction processes and development projects.

He has advised on complex cross-border real estate transactions, including the acquisition of several RES projects in Poland (including onshore wind farm projects) and has participated in numerous deals involving the financing and refinancing of various real estate assets, including logistics, office, and retail properties. Jakub has also worked on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, providing comprehensive legal support in this rapidly evolving sector.

In addition to his transactional work, Jakub is actively engaged in pro bono projects handled by White & Case.

Experience

GLP: representation of GLP, a global developer and investor in the logistics real estate sector, in connection with the financing of a portfolio of eight high-quality logistics properties in Poland (five) and the Czech Republic (three) of up to €117 million granted by Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG.

GLP Europe: representation of GLP Europe on the acquisition of the 11,500 sqm 7R City Flex Gdańsk II warehouse park from 7R, a developer specializing in the construction of high-quality warehouse and production space.

GLP Europe: representation of GLP Europe on the acquisition of a 60,000 sqm logistics center located on Turyńska Street in Bieruń, Upper Silesia, from SPM Poland, a subsidiary of the Italian logistics company Sistema. The transaction was structured as a sale and leaseback agreement, with SPM Poland continuing as the tenant for the next 10 years.

Advanced Power Solutions Poland S.A.: representation of Advanced Power Solutions Poland S.A. in the sale of a consumer battery manufacturing property in Gniezno, in a sale-leaseback deal to REICO ČS Long Lease, managed by the Czech group REICO IS ČS. The manufacturing facility is able to produce up to 4 million batteries a day, which makes it one of the largest such facilities in the world.

Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust: representation of Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust on the acquisition of Krzęcin and Kuślin onshore wind farms being constructed in Poland with a combined capacity of 59 MW from the PNE Group, a German developer of wind projects in Europe. The projects are financed by the EBRD and BayernLB.

Funds managed by Octopus Renewables: representation of funds managed by Octopus Renewables on the acquisition of a Polish wind farms portfolio of rated power of 48 MW from OX2, a developer and seller of wind and solar farms.

CTP: representation of the CTP Group in the acquisition of a real estate portfolio from 7R, a Polish industrial developer, with potential to develop 1.2 million sqm of GLA in logistics and industrial real estate.

LaSalle: representation of LaSalle Investment Management on all leasing and asset management matters connected with a large area shopping center in Wrocław.
