Overview

James is an associate in our global M&A and Corporate practice based in London. He is a member of our EMEA Private Equity team.

James focuses on private equity acquisitions and equity investments. He has experience on a broad range of transactions including acquisitions, disposals, equity arrangements and general corporate advisory.

James has also spent time on secondment at ADVANZ Pharma, a portfolio company of Nordic Capital.

Avia Solutions Group (ASG), a global aerospace services group, on a strategic partnership with Certares Management LLC (Certares) pursuant to which Certares will make a €300 million structured equity investment in ASG.

Providence Equity Partners LLC on its acquisition of the d&B group

Nordic Capital on the sale of Macrobond, a fast-growing global technology platform providing economic and financial data, to Francisco Partners.

MidEuropa's portfolio company intive GmbH on:

dMY Technology Group, Inc. II (NYSE: DMYD), a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), in its US$1.5 billion business combination with UK-based Genius Sports Group, the leading provider of sports data and technology powering the sports, betting and media ecosystem.

The sale by Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 4 (MEIF4) of its 69.4% interest in Società Gasdotti Italia (SGI) to Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP). SGI is the largest independent gas transmission operator in Italy.

N + P Beheer B.V., an energy from waste start-up company which has invented a waste pellet which tackles two world issues of: (i) landfilling non-recyclable plastic; and (ii) reducing the reliance on coal and other fossil fuels. The transaction involved the buy-out of an existing passive minority investor, taking a 25% investment from Mercuria Energy Trading (an energy and commodity trading group), and the entry into a convertible loan with Mercuria for a further c10% and a call option for a further c.5%.
