Biography
Jose is an associate in the firm's Asset Finance team. With experience spanning the aviation, maritime and renewable energy sectors, he acts for clients including operating lessors, airlines, export credit agencies, and shipping companies on a wide range of financing, leasing and M&A transactions.
Jose advises on aircraft and vessel acquisitions and disposals, operating leases, sale and leasebacks, portfolio restructurings and offshore asset financings. He also has substantial experience in the renewable energy sector, having previously advised on the development, structuring and financing of solar and wind projects in Latin America.
Experience
Representation of Aviation Capital Group in connection with the sale of six aircraft on lease to airlines in Chile, Argentina, Vietnam, Indonesia and Israel.
Representation of AviLease in the acquisition of a portfolio of aircraft on lease to airlines in Chile, Jordan, the United States and Thailand.
Representation of Carlyle Aviation Partners in connection with the merger and consolidation of certain aircraft-owning special purpose entities comprising a portfolio of eight aircraft.
Representation of the European export credit agencies in connection with repayment and security releases in respect of ECA financings of Airbus A320-200 for Air Arabia.
Representation of Scenic Cruises in connection with the HBOR-supported pre- and post-delivery financing of a cruise ship.
Representation of ExxonMobil in connection with the acquisition of a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit.
