Overview

Joaquín Pacheco focuses on commercial, white collar, compliance, technology, privacy and data protection disputes before federal and local courts, and has broad knowledge and experience in Amparo trials with an emphasis on civil and commercial law, achieving several favorable rulings and precedents. Joaquín Pacheco joined the Firm's Mexico City office in 2018.

Joaquín handles the litigation strategies for financial, internet and technology of global corporations doing business or with interests in Mexico and provides high-end legal knowledge and the technical-computing language required to handle complex technology-related disputes. He has led work on key litigation strategies for international technology companies, including representation before Mexico's Consumer Protection Agency, the Data Protection Authority, the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks, civil and commercial courts, intellectual property agencies and courts, prosecutors and other public regulatory agencies and authorities. Joaquín handles civil and commercial litigation for different clients, including cutting-edge matters implicating data privacy, cybersecurity, defamation, intermediary liability, class action and consumer class-action claims.

His compliance and white collar experience includes conducting internal corporate investigations and representing Mexican, US and other foreign multinational companies and their governing boards and committees in matters involving fraud, accounting and regulatory issues.

Before joining White & Case, Joaquín worked in a prestigious firm specialized in commercial, civil and bankruptcy litigation.
