Biography

Overview

Kristian Bradshaw advises clients across the energy spectrum, including on LNG, hydrogen/ammonia, CCS, solar, wind, geothermal and cleantech matters. He is uniquely placed to help clients navigate the complex and rapidly developing energy transition.

He regularly advises clients on their acquisition, development, financing and sale of projects and businesses in the global energy sector, acting on hundreds of billions of dollars of transactions in this space. He has deep experience in relation to large-scale energy project contracts, particularly structuring and negotiating bespoke offtake arrangements for LNG and hydrogen/ammonia. He has over 15 years of experience in the Japan market, including time in the legal department of Japanese energy major INPEX and a secondment at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation while in private practice.

Kristian is proficient in Japanese, French and German in addition to his native English.

He is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and the Tokyo Bar Association.

LNG / Conventional Energy

EIG on its acquisition of Tokyo Gas' interests in four LNG projects in Australia. EIG acquired these interests through MidOcean Energy, an LNG company formed and managed by EIG to create a diversified, 'pure play' integrated global LNG portfolio of high-quality operating LNG projects with strong, long-life cash flows.

EIG on its AUD 18.4 billion bid, with Brookfield, to acquire leading Australian energy provider Origin Energy. EIG will acquire Origin's Integrated Gas business through MidOcean Energy.

A confidential client on its proposed investment into Freeport LNG in Texas.
