Biography

Overview

Lauren Greenberg is Deputy General Counsel based in Washington DC. Lauren advises on general risk and compliance matters with a focus on resolving conflicts of interest and ethics questions (particularly in US jurisdictions), FARA, and sanctions. Lauren has over 20 years of legal experience in risk and compliance, legal ethics and litigation. Before coming to White & Case, Lauren was the Assistant General Counsel for Ethics at another large international firm, where she was the firm's most senior ethics advisor to the 900+ lawyers in 20 offices internationally. In that position, she established the first centralized conflicts resolution team, managed review of conflicts and engagement terms on all new and existing business, and advised the firm and its lawyers on questions arising under the applicable rules of professional conduct. She is a former chair of the DC Bar's Legal Ethics Committee and former vice-chair of the DC Bar's Rules of Professional Conduct Review Committee. Lauren is a graduate of The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, cum laude, and Dartmouth College.
