Lauren is an associate in the Firm's International Trade Group, based in the Washington, DC office. Lauren's practice focuses primarily on US customs matters, and includes assisting clients in enforcement and compliance matters before US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Specifically, Lauren’s customs practice includes experience drafting customs protests, prior disclosures, and ruling requests to CBP, and an expertise in customs valuation and country of origin issues. Lauren also has experience in advising private and sovereign clients on a range of trade remedies matters, and in assisting with economic sanctions compliance matters in global business dealings. Lauren is actively involved in pro bono initiatives at the Firm.
In law school, Lauren served as the Research Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law School Journal of International Law. Lauren was also an International Summer Human Rights Fellow, assisting asylum seekers and refugees with access to justice matters in South Africa.
